Residents enjoy being part of a close and caring community, where an atmosphere of cheer and warmth are a part of each and every day. Many choices are offered to meet the varied interest of all who make The Herrick House their home. The wonderful staff creates a full schedule of activities that includes daily, weekly and monthly social, cultural and educational programs.
The Recreation Program Director has been with The Herrick House since it opened in 1994 reflecting the long term experience, dedication and training that is evident in all areas of the staff. There are two additional recreation program managers on staff for a total of three highly trained and experienced professionals.
Some of the activities that residents enjoy might include:

- Music concerts

- Art and Ceramics Classes
- Scheduled trips to shopping malls
- Family barbecues
- Holiday celebrations
- Religious services
- Daily happy hour in the pub, accompanied by trivial pursuit
Regularly scheduled van transportation is provided for off-site outings and shopping trips. Outings range from favorite lunch spots, trips to the movies, or local museums. There is a full time driver on the staff who is specially trained to assist seniors.
The Herrick House car may be privately scheduled for appointments.
